June Rose Horrocks

June Rose Horrocks, 85, of Eagle Rock, passed away on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, in Kansas City. She was born on Dec. 9, 1930, in Adrian, daughter of Willam Reed Elliott and Sarah Rosalyn (Leuty) Bradley. She was united in marriage to Dale Horrocks in Ordway, Colo., on Aug. 25, 1949. She and her husband moved to Eagle Rock in 2004. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of the Cassville branch. Survivors include: four sons, William Dale Horrocks, of Eagle Rock, Richard Horrocks and his wife Connie, of Glenaire, Clayton Horrocks and his wife Kim, of Raymore, and David Horrocks and his wife Tammie, of Smithville; two daughters, Teresa Carkeek and her husband Terry, of Glenaire, and Karen Searcy and her husband Jim, of Eagle Rock; 27 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Bradley, of Des Moines, Iowa.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Horrocks, and one brother, William Bradley.

Graveside services were held Saturday at the Appleton City Cemetery, Appleton City, with Mike Quick officiating.
