Jewell "Judy" VanZandt, 95, of Cassville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, in Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cassville.

She was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Greenland, Ark., the daughter of David Lee and Bessie (Cowan) VanZandt. On Aug. 17, 1941, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Karl VanZandt who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Hubert Burnett; two sons-in-law, Paul Underhill and Jim Fowler and a grandson.

Survivors include: one son, Jeff VanZandt and his wife Adrienne of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Karlene Underhill Cathell and her husband, Dick of Bellingham, Wash, Joyce Fowler of Kansas City, and Patti Leeper and her husband, Pat, of Springfield; one sister, Edna Jean Salsbury of Fayetteville, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She grew up in Arkansas where she received her education and graduated from Business College in Fayetteville, Ark.. She was a homemaker and a member of Cassville United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cassville United Methodist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Dick Cathell, son-in-law, will conduct the services. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
