No independent candidate filed petition as of Monday deadline

No independent candidate filed paperwork in the Barry County sheriff's race either, meaning the November general election will be a two-man race between the Republican nominee and Barry County deputy Justin "Dave" Ruark, D-Cassville.

Candidates in Republican primary for sheriff are Travis Hilburn of Cassville, Danny Boyd of Purdy, James A. Smith of Aurora, Justin Fohn of Cassville, Terry Meek of Washburn and Gary Davis of Cassville.

Candidates in the Republican primary for public administrator are Andy Reavis and Rodney Hughes, both of Cassville, and Keith Daniels of Exeter.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
