Anna Lee Hency
Anna Lee Hency, 89, of Cassville, passed away, Tuesday, July 19, 2016, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
She was born June 14, 1927, in Gamaliel, Ark., the daughter of Thurman and Emma Caroline (Foster) Reed. On March 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jim Hency, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: one son, James Hency, of Cassville; his daughters, Jamie Massey and Laurie Hency, of Monett, Debbie Brown-Keltner and her husband, Jim, of Cassville, and Lisa Carrothers and her husband, Ed, of Cassville; one brother, Lavern Reed, of Gamaliel, Ark.; three sisters, Virgie Holmes, of Gamaliel, Ark., and Edna Crawford and Elva Tunnison, both of Viola, Ark.; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
She attended high school at Bakersfield, Mo. In 1959, she and Jim moved to Cassville. She worked off and on at Justin Boot. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cassville, where she was a dedicated nursery worker. Graveside services were held Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor James Weaver conducted the services.
