Purdy woman injured in wreck
Rear-end wreck sends 27-year-old to hospital
A Purdy woman was injured in a wreck at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 60, three miles east of Marionville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Jaricka McGinnis, 27, of Purdy, was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer eastbound when her vehicle struck the rear of a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, being driven by William Pomeroy, 42, of Billings, which was stopped in traffic.
McGinnis suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Pomeroy was not injured.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices. The Jeep suffered moderate damage, and the Ford suffered extensive damage.
