Shirley Ann Hood
Shirley Ann Hood, 77, of Lampe, passed away Friday, July 15, 2016, in her home.
She was born July 9, 1939, in Sapulpa, Okla., the daughter of Jack and Marie (Clinkenbeard) White. On Feb. 24, 1956, in Blackwell, Okla., she was united in marriage to Elvin Hood, who survives.
Additional survivors include: her children, Penny Plett of Tulsa, Okla., Rick Hood and his wife Nancy of Neosho, Kevin Hood and his wife Vickie of Inola, Okla., Stephanie Burks of Wichita, Kan., Rodney Hood of Wichita, Kan., and Tammie Brobston of Lampe; one sister, Clara Koehler of Kansas, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Shirley received her education in Blackwell, Okla. She resided in Missouri several years and was a nurse aide at Bates Memorial Hospital in Bentonville. She was a member of Viola Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July in Grace Community Fellowship Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Tom Taylor will conduct the services. Burial will be in McCullough Cemetery, Viola.
