Barry County officeholders enjoy low disapproval ratings
Local voters generally pleased or indifferent
A recent poll of Barry County registered voters showed that the public is generally pleased or indifferent about the performance of the county's elected officials.
The Monett Times poll on Thursday asked whether voters approved or disapproved of the job performance of outgoing Sheriff Mick Epperly, Prosecuting Attorney Amy Boxx and Presiding Commissioner Cherry Warren.
Fifty-four percent of voters said they approve of Epperly's job performance, compared to 24 percent who disapprove (+30 percent), while 21 percent had no opinion.
Forty-three percent of voters said they approve of Boxx's performance, compared to 12 percent who disapprove (+31 percent), while 45 percent had no opinion.
Fifty-one percent of voters said they approve of Warren's performance, while 21 percent said they disapprove (+30 percent), while 28 percent had no opinion.
The poll, conducted Thursday, consisted of 453 successful telephone interviews, for a margin of error of 4 percent.
