Forum held at Central Crossing Senior Center

A large crowd showed up to attend a forum at the Central Crossing Senior Center to ask questions of five of the seven candidates for the Barry County Sheriff's position, as well as the three candidates for the Barry County Public Administrator position.

A large crowd showed up to attend a forum at the Central Crossing Senior Center to ask questions of five of the seven candidates for the Barry County Sheriff's position, as well as the three candidates for the Barry County Public Administrator position. Mark Davis of Arvest Bank emceed the forum, and attendees were afforded the opportunity to listen to candidates make their case for why they should be elected to their respective offices. Each of the sheriff candidates highlighted drug curtailment as a top priority, though each had different approaches to dealing with the problem. Outgoing Sheriff Mick Epperly warned that in addition to the drugs residents are accustomed to circulating, as well as the respective problems they cause, heroin is likely coming to this area and will incur other problems, relaying that the next sheriff will need to be ready to fight.
