Creative arts group offering activities in July

CASK, which stands for Creative Arts of Shell Knob, held its June meeting at the guild gallery in the Bridgeway Plaza. The group reported that the month flew by, and members are planning events for July.

Among upcoming group happenings, Jim Hoover's art takes residence in the special event room for the month. His special talent is painting with oils on wood, and he will have more to share. Hoover will be having an Open House at the gallery on Saturday, July 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The group is remembering member Bobbie Harris, who recently passed away as a result of an unfortunate accident, and her sister, Jo Twidwell, with their love. Harris was Jo's best friend, supporter, and confidant.

Marcia Nicholls led the June Paint 'N Pour of Sunrise/Sunset Lake paintings.

On Friday, July 15, Nicki Hanna will teach a wire-wrapping workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hanna can be reached at 402-740-0268 to reserve a place in the class, and for any questions.

CASK is located in the Bridgeway Plaza in Shell Knob and is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The guild can be reached at 417-489-3061. When the gallery is closed, Hoover can be reached at 417-858-0062. Meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the gallery, and are open to anyone interested in attending.
