Henry Carl Thomas, 78, of Cape Fair, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
He was born March 27, 1938 at Cato, the son of Elbert and Oma (Stockton) Thomas. On Sept. 1, 1960, he was united in marriage to Barbara Darlene Daniel, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Glenn Thomas; two half-brothers, Roy Thomas and Roy Snider; four half-sisters, Gladis Snider, Gerelene Thomas, Lottie May Thomas and Dorthy Thomas; stepdaughter, Ronda; and a grandson.
On Sept. 27, 2014, he married Sharon (Weller) Madison, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Steven Carl Thomas of Shell Knob; three daughters, Kimberly Ann Ginther and her husband, John, of Cape Fair, Christie Dawn Goodson and her husband, Larry, of Joplin, and Jamie Leigh Sturgell and her husband, Toby, of Cape Fair; a stepson, Rick Madison, of Cassville; one sister, Ruth Edwards and her husband, Frank, of Cassville; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
He graduated from Cassville High School. He then graduated from Barber College in Kansas City. For almost 30 years he was a truck driver for Wells Aluminum in Monett; George's in Butterfield, and Kay Concrete in Shell Knob. He was currently a self-employed barber at JT's Barber Shop in Cassville.
He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Lonnie Stockton conducted the services. Burial was at the IOOF Cemetery, Monett.
