Johnnie Lee Horner
Memorial services for Johnnie Lee Horner, 80, a resident of Kingston, Wash., were held Tuesday, June 28 at Kiana Lodge, Poulsbo, Wash. A private burial ceremony was at West End Cemetery in Buhl, Idaho.
She passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, at home in Kingston, Wash., She was born April 8, 1936, in Cassville, the daughter of William E. and Elisa Smith. She was united in marriage to Maxie Lee Horner on June 10, 1956, in Cassville.
She received her bachelor of education degree from Idaho State College in Pocatello, Idaho. She taught elementary school in Buhl, Idaho, and Battleground, Wash., for more than 40 years.
She was a member of the Bainbridge Island Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Maxie Lee Horner, Kingston Wash.; son, W. Scott Horner, Bainbridge Island, Wash.; and grandson, Skylar Lee Horner, Seattle, Wash., and preceded in death by a son, Amos Lee Horner, brother, Sydney Smith, brother-in-law Glennon Horner, and daughter-in-law Debbie Horner.
