Vehicle hits numerous trees on Hwy. 86 Friday

A Shell Knob man was injured and arrested following a wreck at 12:20 a.m. Friday on Highway 86, four miles east of Golden.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kyle Boggs, 21, of Shell Knob, was driving a 2006 Ford F150 eastbound when his vehicle left the roadway and struck numerous trees.

Boggs suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.

At 1:07 a.m., Boggs was arrested for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no seat belt. He was released for medical care.
