Seligman to hold annual fireworks celebration
City to make a blast with $1,600 in fireworks
The city of Seligman will be hosting its annual 4th of July celebration on July 4, offering free food and a fireworks show to area residents.
The chamber of commerce will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs during the day, and a fireworks show will begin at dark on the grounds of city hall.
"The city pays for the fireworks, and the chamber provides the free food as a way of giving back to the community here," said Brian Nichols, Seligman city clerk.
"There will be food all day, fireworks at dark, and maybe a parade," Thornton said. "The city spent $1,600 on fireworks this year."
The patriotic fireworks display is open to Seligman residents, and other area residents, too, Nichols said.
"Anybody's welcome to come out and enjoy themselves," he said. "We spent a little more money this year on fireworks, and should have a pretty good show."
Limited seating is available. Residents are advised to bring chairs and blankets.
