Sater recognized for advocacy in county government

Wednesday, June 22, 2016
State Sen. David Sater, R-Cassville, was presented with an award and Tuesday from Barry County Presiding Commissioner Cherry Warren on behalf of the County Commission Association of Missouri for his contributions to the county. Warren said Sater was selected for the award based on his work on a county budget bill that had been helpful in 2016 and in years past. Warren said Sater had also played a significant role in health care, serving on committees that have been "pretty tough to sit on," and that county commissioners truly appreciated the work Sater has done, adding that "he has always been a friend of county government." Commissioners from Lawrence, Stone and Barry counties were present, along with Barry County judges. Julia Kilmer/reporter@cassville-democrat.com
