Pet of the Week

This week's pet of the week at the Haven of the Ozarks is Coy, a very special dog that is about five years old. She absolutely adores every person she meets, is already house-trained and loves to sleep on the bed. She will be the very best and most loyal friend one could ever imagine. Coy does have a special health need. She had a throat injury that made it hard for her to breathe when she got very excited. She saw several different vets and finally had a surgical procedure at the University of Missouri that has helped her feel much better. However, she will always need to be walked on a harness and will need to be kept out of situations where she might become overexcited. We know from our years in rescue that there are kind-hearted people in the world who are willing to love animals with special needs, and we hope one of those people consider adopting Coy. All Haven pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Coy will always have a home at the Haven if placement is not successful. Those interested in adopting Coy or another pet can call 417-835-3647, visit thehaven.petfinder.com or on Facebook. Contributed photo
