Golfing results finalized after rainout
Mother Nature ends tournaments earlier than expected
What was originally slated to be two-day state golf tournaments across Missouri became one-day flashes in the pan for most golfers. With the rain falling on May 24, the Missouri State High School Activities Association made the decision to cancel the second day of tournament action and make the first day's results final.
Purdy's Matthew Wilson finished 16th overall in the Class 1 final at Freemont Hills Country Club with an 86 on the par-71. Tyler Keeler was 83rd with a 108.
In Class 3, Monett's Clayton Kaiser finished with an 86 on the par-72 Rivercut Golf Course and tied for 44th overall in the 90-person field. Dylan Garner was 70th overall with a 92.
