Central Crossing helps Hospice

Wednesday, May 25, 2016
Sharon Clute, the Central Crossing Senior Center librarian, and her husband, George, recently assisted two hospice facilities in Springfield by delivering 150 cassette books on tape for use in their hospice programs. CCSC routinely receives donated durable medical equipment and occasionally experiences an excess of wheel chairs, walkers and port-a-potties. Those items were also donated to the Springfield facilities. The books on tape were overages from the newly formed lending library. These contributions will help lessen the burden of those suffering with end of life experiences. Those wishing to help in the recreational lending library or other volunteer function at CCSC may call Sara Paterson, administrator, at 417-858-6952. Contributed photo
