Sale in Eagle Rock benefits library

The Eagle Rock Friends of the Library will hold their annual Community Sale on June 4 at the Eagle Rock Community Center. This is a fundraiser for the group that supports the Eagle Rock Library. Blacksmith gathering coming to Newtonia June 4

The "Hammer in 2016, A Gathering of Blacksmiths" event will be held at Ritchey Mansion in Newtonia on June 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Area blacksmiths will demonstrate their skills and sell their wares. A quilt show will be held in the Newtonia Community Center. The Ritchey Mansion will be open for tours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sam's Kitchen will be selling breakfast and lunch items. Cemetery hosting annual meeting, picnic

The Seligman New Salem Cemetery Association will meet on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the New Salem Church House, located about 1.5 miles northeast of Seligman. A potluck lunch will be held on the grounds at noon, following the business meeting. Those who would like to receive future notices about the Association, which are now sent via email, may email molly@mckaypatents.com to be added to the email list. Cassville Alumni Association banquet Saturday

On May 28, the Cassville Alumni Association will host its annual banquet at Cassville High School. There will be entertainment, food and a quick program. The business portion of the annual event will include presentation of scholarship awards, election of officers and recognition of classes with special attention to class reunions. Registration will open at 4:30 p.m., with the banquet starting at 6 p.m. Cost is $15 per person which includes dinner, alumni dues and contribution to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.
