Last week, the Cassville Farmers' Market began offering an additional day during the week for residents to pick up farm-fresh foods. In addition to Saturday on the square, producers can also now be found on Sale Barn Road Tuesday afternoons at the site of the auction house from 2-6 p.m. A new addition was built just for producers, allowing them to stay in a cool, sheltered area, or sell their wares outside. Hours are convenient so that residents can easily pick up produce during a break or after work hours on their way home. Farm-fresh vegetables, eggs, honey, baked goods, blackberries, tomato plants and more are being offered by local producers. Albert Wolfe, coordinator of the market, presented his baked breads and desserts, fresh onions and eggs at the sale Tuesday, along with K&B Farms which sells honey, and a blackberry producer.
