Arthur William "Bud" Hoehne, Jr.
Arthur William "Bud" Hoehne, Jr., 73, of Shell Knob, passed away in Select Specialty Hospital, Springfield, on April 17, 2016.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1942, in Des Peres, the son of Arthur William and Martha (Easter) Hoehne, Sr., who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one sister, Margaret "Peggy" Sherfy and two brothers-in-law, Ron Rickard and "Duke" Sherfy.
On Aug. 30, 1969, in Friestatt, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Marie (Kroenung) who survives. Additional survivors include: two sons, Douglas Hoehne and Stacy Long, of Gray Summit, and Donald Hoehne and his wife, Dawn, of Cedar Hill; two daughters, Suzanne Biundo and her husband, Nicolo, of Fenton, and Michele Hershfeld and her husband, Glenn, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; one sister, Patricia "Pat" Rickard, of Shell Knob; one brother, John Havinear; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He received his education in Eureka, Mo. He became a heavy equipment operator for Piffel Excavating in House Springs.
In 1969, Bud and JoAnn moved to Shell Knob, and in 1979, they moved to Gray Summit, keeping their home in Shell Knob which they retired to in 2008.
A Celebration of Life was held Friday, in Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Contributions in his memory may be made to the Central Crossing Fire District or the Central Community United Methodist Church.
