Security Bank adds $500 toward $5K matching grant

Wednesday, April 6, 2016
Security Bank of Southwest Missouri gave a $500 donation to the Cassville Education Fund on Friday. The donation aims to help the Fund reach a $5,000 goal, to raise by May 3, for a 1:1 matching grant challenge from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. The money will be put into the organization's endowment fund, which provides grants for the Cassville school district and its teachers who are not able to obtain funding through the state or any other source. Since the challenge was made, the Cassville Community Teachers Association, Security Bank and the Soroptimist Club have made donations totaling about $3,662 toward the $5,000 goal.
