Bright colors, cheerful people and munchy treats helped make the March Paint 'N Pour a hands down a good time for the 10 artists gathered to create a spring-themed painting at Creative Arts of Shell Knob.

Each painting featured a bird, the sun, flowers and other spring-themed elements.

The theme for April's Paint 'n Pour class, tropical, saw the participant list filling quickly. Event coordinators are now planning a second class in the afternoon for additional artists wanting to participate in the event.

Those wanting to paint Wednesday, April 13 are asked to call Fran Crosthwait at 858-0219 register.

Dixie Meyer will lead the 6:30 p.m. group with the tropical theme. Alternate offerings will be announced.

The Thursday, May 19 Paint 'n Pour, led by Jeannette Lowe, will feature a Missouri landscape. Marcia Nicholls has chosen Table Rock Lake for the Thursday, June 16 event.

Jeannette Lowe's watercolor paintings are on display through the end of March in the special events room at CASK.

The artwork of Shell Knob Elementary School children will be on display throughout the month of April. A reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at CASK. Valerie Ball, elementary art teacher, has introduced several new concepts to students and guests will be surprised and pleased when they discover what students have accomplished this school year.

Summer workshops will feature beginning woodcarving, silk scarf painting and wire-wrapping.

The Creative Arts Gallery is located behind Bridgeway Plaza in Shell Knob. Events and other information may be found at Creative Arts of Shell Knob on Facebook.
