Raymond Lloyd Bass, 72, of Shell Knob, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, in Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation, Cassville.

He was born June 28, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Ernie Lloyd and Iceley Lee (Thompson) Bass. On May 15, 1967, in Burlington, Colo., he was united in marriage to Barbara Cranmer, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Devallis Bass, of Bethany, Okla.; one granddaughter; and two sisters, Margie Piatt and her husband. Homer, of Blue Eye, and Dana Harper and her husband, George, of Edmond, Okla.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister; and one brother.

He grew up and received his education at Deer Creek west of Edmond, Okla. During the Vietnam War, he joined the U.S. Army, serving from Feb. 3, 1963, to Feb. 3, 1966. For several years, he was employed in maintenance at Walmart.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
