Denver Rose, 89, of Seligman, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016, in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Washburn, the son of Lemma and Ola (Pippin) Rose. On May 5, 1945 in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Dorris Watson, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two children, Garry Rose, of Washburn and Annette Henderson and her husband, Charles, of Seligman; two sisters, Olene Hendrix and her husband, Ernest, of Washburn and Alta Fern Hopkins and her husband, Wendell, of Cassville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Larry Rose; six brothers; and four sisters.
He grew up and received his education at Washburn where he graduated from high school. For 35 years he was a truck driver, driving for Forest Products, Crystal Springs Farms, Purina and in 1989 retired from Efco. Prior to moving to Seligman he had resided in Cassville around 50 years. He was a member of Seligman First Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Wednesday in Washburn Prairie Cemetery, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Bob Scott conducted the services.
