Man injured arrested after ATV wreck

22-year-old drives vehicle into ravine Sunday

A Shell Knob man was injured and subsequently arrested following a wreck Sunday at 8 p.m. on Highway 39 at Highway 76, four miles north of Shell Knob.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dustin Ramsey, 22, of Shell Knob, was driving an ATV northbound on private property when his vehicle went into a steep ravine, causing him to be ejected.

Ramsey suffered moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. The ATV was totaled.

At 9:20 p.m., Ramsey was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was released for medical treatment.
