2 injured in Hwy. DD wreck

Vehicle hits tree, overturns near Seligman

Two people were injured Monday in a wreck at 12:33 a.m. on Highway DD, three miles west of Seligman.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William Rickson, 25, of Seligman, was driving a 1995 Dodge Dakota pickup truck westbound when his vehicle ran off the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

Rickson and a passenger in his vehicle, Kenny Rickson, 48, of Washburn, both suffered serious injuries. William Rickson was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, and Kenny Rickson was transported to Northwest Hospital in Bentonville, Ark.

Neither of the men were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle was totaled.

  • Your story is a little mixed up.This is my fiance and father in law. Kenny rickson is from seligman he was wearing a seat belt and was brought to bentonville . William rickson was airlifted to Springfield and is from washburn. They went off a 40 ft drop hit a tree and flipped the truck.they we're there for almost 4 hours before they we're found.
