Cassville man injured in Hwy. 76 wreck

23-year-old arrested for felony DWI

A Cassville man was injured and subsequently arrested following a wreck Tuesday at 11:12 p.m. on Highway 76, one mile south of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Kyle Friend, 23, of Cassville, was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am southbound when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Friend suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

He was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.

At 11:58 p.m., Friend was arrested on charges of felony driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, driving while revoked and no insurance.
