Martin F. Carrozzo, Jr.
Martin F. Carrozzo, Jr., 61, of Eagle Rock, passed away on Jan. 20, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. He was born on Dec. 1, 1954, in New Hartford, Conn., son of Martin and Margaret (Cain) Carrozzo. He attended Holy Cross University where he received his bachelor's degree; he later received his master's degree in organic chemistry in Scripps, Calif.; and he was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. On May 30, 1990, he married Peggy Simmons; she survives.
He worked for FAG Bearing Corporation in Joplin; retiring in 2003. He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Kris Hemby and her husband, Curtiss, of Pittsburg, Kan.; one stepson, Ryan Grissom, of Eagle Rock; one stepdaughter, Brooke Keene and her husband, David, of Paris, Texas; 13 grandchildren; his father, Martin F. Carrozzo, Sr., of Winsted, Conn.; three brothers, Ronnie Carrozzo, of Brooksville, Fla., Larry Carrozzo, of Searsport, Maine, and Shawn Carrozzo, of Winsted, Conn. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Cremations arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
