87th Annual Soil and Crops Conference set for Feb. 2
Speakers to discuss feed directive, seed preservation
The University of Missouri Extension has announced the Barry County Extension's 87th Annual Soils and Crops Conference has been scheduled for the Feb. 2 in Cassville, from 6-9 p.m.
The confirmed line-up of speakers for the night include Dr. Scott Poock, Extension veterinarian from Columbia, and Lynn Andrews, regional director of the Missouri Crop Improvement Association.
Topics include the 2017 Veterinary Feed Directive, seed preservation laws on the farm, and how cover crops impact soil health.
The conference will once again be at the First Christian Church of Cassville, located at 905 Old Exeter Road. Additionally, dinner will feature a two-meat meal provided by John Sullivan's catering. Producers planning to attend should call ahead or visit the Extension office on the square in Cassville. Those pre-registered will be charged $5, and there is a $7 fee at the door.
