Southwest Little Theatre showcases two nights of student talent

The Southwest Little Theatre will present A Night of Scenes: Vaudeville Night at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 29, and A Night of One-Acts: The Competition at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30.

Friday's performances for A Night of Scenes: Vaudeville Night provides audience members a night of comedy, presented by the SLT Junior High Performers. The evening's entertainment will also include one dramatic scene about Anne Frank, which was written by the students.

Performers include Braden Ash, Shelby Blevins, Ashlynn Corter, Jealouise Durossette, Breanna Hamilton, Brooklyn Hamilton, Nathaniel Hamilton, Sarah Hedden, Lyndsey Holt, Alexis Isbell, Rachel Jimenez, Amber Larsen, Austin Moreton, Laney Moore, Sheyenne Parker, Dominic Ray, Danielle Reed, Kaitey Resz, Shyla Richardson, Hope Robbins, Matthew Robbins, Bailie Saunders, Tristan Smith, and Hannah Swadley.

Saturday's venue, A Night of One-Acts: The Competition, will be presented by the SLT High School Performers, and includes five plays to be performed, critiqued and scored by a panel of judges. A combination of the judge's scores and audience voting will determine the winner of the competition.

The winning team will compete at the Ozark 7 One-Act Competition in February.
