Maggie Dean Fielding
Maggie Dean Fielding, 88, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, in Mercy Hospital, Cassville.
She was born Sept. 9, 1927, in Washburn, the daughter of Reams Eugene and Ruby Jane (Brake) Henry. On Jan. 12, 1946, in Exeter, she was united in marriage to Melvin Paul Fielding, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Charles "Chuck" Fielding; one brother, Gene Henry; and two sisters, Mary Lee Brandt and Katie Hendrix.
Survivors include; two sons, Tommie Fielding and his wife, Dee, of Washburn, and Rick Fielding and his wife, Patty, of Springfield; two daughters, Paula McMillan of Washburn, and Lula Gauwain, of Breckenridge, Texas; two brothers, J.C. Henry of Washburn, Missouri and Harvey Henry and his wife Martha of Washburn; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
She received her education at OK Elementary and Southwest High School at Washburn. She was a homemaker and a life-long resident of Barry County. She was a member of Mission Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Dayton Brattin conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn.
