Pastor Jonathan Jay Brobston
Pastor Jonathan Jay Brobston, 59, of Lampe, passed away Dec. 31, 2015.
He was born Nov. 19, 1956, in Stevens Point, Wis., the son of Vernon O. and Ellen Charlotte (Sernau) Brobston. On May 6, 1988, in Pineville, he was united in marriage to Tammie Reneˊ Hood, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Caleb Eli Brobston and Cody Levi Brobston, both of Lampe; one daughter, Hannah Reneˊ Brobston of Lampe; his father, Vernon Brobston, of Richardson, Texas; one brother, Michael Lee Brobston and his wife Nancy, of Allen, Texas; two sisters, Bonnie Lee Elwert and her husband, Hans, of Holzhausen, Germany, and Lori Ann Austin and her husband, Kenneth, of Leander, Texas.
Preceding him in death were his mother; one daughter, Bethany; and one brother, David.
He graduated from Ozark High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Ozark Bible Institute, his master's degree from Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada, and his doctorate degree from Freedom Bible Institute in Rogers, Ark. He was a former pastor at Grace Community Fellowship Church in Shell Knob. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Grace Community Fellowship Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Sam Judd conducted the services. Burial was at McCullough Cemetery, Viola.
