Norma Rue Oliver

Norma Rue Oliver, 87, of Wheaton, passed away Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, in her home.

She was born Feb. 4, 1928, in Wattis, Utah, the daughter of Lewis and Rue (Rich) Safley. On Feb. 14, 1946, in Elmo, Utah, she was united in marriage to Vernell Charles Oliver, who preceded her in death.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Rodney; and two brothers, Lamar and Leon.

Survivors include: three sons, Louis Oliver and his wife, Carol, of Payette, Idaho, Sidney "Sid" Oliver and his wife, Bonnie, and Cody Oliver and his wife, Jenny, all of Fairview; two daughters, Sherry Alger and her husband, Tom, of Fairview, and Brenda Oliver, of Wheaton; one brother Marvin Safley and his wife, Jolene, of Price, Utah; 19 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in Wellington, Utah. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Funeral services were held Friday in The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Cassville, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Burial was at Goodnight Cemetery, Purdy.
