Pet of the Week

This week's pet of the week at the Haven of the Ozarks is Swee'Pea, a special cat, and we have no idea why no one has taken her home yet. She was one of several kitties who came to the Haven after her human mom passed away. All the others have been selected by families, but Swee'Pea is still at the Haven waiting. She's about three years old, has an adorable nubby tail, likes kids, and is good with other cats. Swee'Pea is even good with dogs. She served as the "test cat" at a recent mobile adoption event, allowing dogs who were being adopted into homes with cats got to meet her and see how would react before getting a feline sibling of their own. Swee'Pea tolerated their sniffs and kisses and never once got cranky with a nosy pooch. She watched each dog she met get adopted that day while she waited her her person to come. Sadly it didn't happen, but we hope someone will be coming for her very soon. All Haven pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. Swee'Pea will always have a home at the Haven if placement is not successful. Those interested in adopting Swee'Pea or another pet can call 417-835-3647, visit thehaven.petfinder.com or on Facebook.
