Ruth Callahan, 70, of Cassville, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at her home. She was born in Pawtucket, R.I., on April 28, 1945, and attended Tolman High School. On April 30, 1966, she was united in marriage to Robert G. Callahan. After traveling for many years, they lived in San Diego, Calif., and she began working for the Poway School District as a bus driver. They moved to Cassville in 1996. She served as president of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 118, in Cassville, as well as former president of the Ladies Shrine Club in Shell Knob. She attended All Faith Methodist Church in Eagle Rock.
Survivors include: her husband of 50 years, Bob Callahan, of Cassville; one son, Robert Callahan and his wife Kriya, of Cassville; two daughters, Tracy Hagan and her husband Bob, of Mano, and Renee Moore and her husband Arron, of Eagle Rock; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Gagnon.
Memorial services will be held on Jan. 16, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock with Pastor Larry Olson officiating.
