2 injured in Route DD wreck
Gateway man arrested in single-vehicle crash
Two men were injured and the driver was arrested after a wreck on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on Route DD, 2.3 miles west of Seligman.
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol report, James Easter, 37, of Gateway, was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger eastbound when his vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned.
Easter suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Northwest Regional Medical Center of Bentonville, Ark. A passenger in the vehicle, Rodrigo Martinez, 23, of Seligman, suffered minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
Neither were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle was totaled.
At 10:20 p.m., Easter was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no insurance and failure to wear a seat belt. He was released with summons.
