Arvilla Mae Stringer

Arvilla Mae Stringer, 85, of Exeter, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.

She was born Dec. 7, 1929, in Barry County, the daughter of George "Neil" and Ida Belle (Garner) Robbins. On Oct. 27, 1951, in Eureka Springs, Ark., She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Stringer who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, four sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include: one son, Everett Brock of Columbus, Ga.; two daughters, Ida Black and her husband, Conard, of Jenkins, and Evelyn Arnold and her husband, Bud, of Carthage; one brother, Cecil Robbins and his wife, Nancy, of Cassville; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She graduated high school and one year of business college in Georgia. In 1968, she and Bob move to Exeter.

For 26 years she volunteered at the Second Act in Cassville. She was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Charles Lambert Robbins conducted the services. Burial was at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter.
