Marching band finishes season strong

Band students from 25 area high schools gathered at Mt. Vernon High School on Nov. 3 to audition for the SWMMEA All-District Honor Band. About 400 students went through a blind audition process to be selected to the 100-member band, and the following Cassville band members were selected. Band students from 25 area high schools gathered at Mt. Vernon High School on Nov. 3 to audition for the SWMMEA All-District Honor Band.

The Cassville Wildcat Marching Band completed the 2015 competitive season Oct. 24. The band gave performances multiple festivals, with members proudly bringing home the following awards: Ozarko (MSU), outstanding percussion, third place in class, fourth place in finals; OMMF (Reeds Spring), outstanding drum majors, fourth out of 17 bands; POTO (Ozark), outstanding music, outstanding visual, first place in class.
