Hazel L. Hill
Funeral services for Hazel L. Hill, 94, of Branson were held Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at 2 p.m. in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Pastor Kyle Minton officiated. Burial followed in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. She passed away Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015.
Hazel Lenora Hill was born Dec. 17, 1920, in Turley, Missouri. She was the daughter of Wade and Nora (Guynn) Richard. Hazel married John L. Hill on Aug. 11, 1940, in Roby, Missouri. To this union they were blessed with four children.
Hazel was an activities director for various rest homes in the Wichita, Kansas, area. Upon her retirement she moved to the Branson area in 1982, and then moved to Cassville in 1988 and back to Branson in 2003, all to be close to family. She enjoyed bowling, playing the guitar, knitting and crocheting. She would make lovely items for her family and friends. Hazel was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and John Hill.
Hazel is survived by her daughters, Nelda Lies, of Branson; Brenda Adkins, of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sons, Darrell Hill and wife Paula, of Hollister; Bill Hill and wife, Lea, of Cassville; one sister Faye James, of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
