Man airlifted after vehicle overturns in ditch

A Verona man was injured Tuesday morning in a wreck at 6 a.m. on Highway 86, 1.5 miles east of Golden.

According to a Missouri State Highway patrol report, William Parker, 58, of Verona, was driving a 2006 Peterbilt eastbound when his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway into a ditch and overturned.

Parker suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

He was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
