Truck hits car pulling out of private driveway

Four people were injured Sunday in a wreck at 7:20 p.m. on Highway 76, one mile south of Longview in McDonald County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dana Bland, 57, of Purdy, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram, attempting to make a left turn onto Highway 76 from a private driveway. When his vehicle pulled out, it struck a southbound 2009 Chevrolet Impala, being driven by Dalton Woods, 18, of Anderson.

Bland, along with two passengers in his vehicle, Daynaira Harlan, 19, of Golden, and Brett Meek, 20, of Purdy, each suffered minor injuries. Bland was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville, and Harlan and Meek were transported to Freeman Hospital in Neosho.

Woods also suffered minor injuries, and he was transported to Freeman Hospital in Neosho.

All involved were wearing safety devices. Damage to the Dodge was moderate, and damage to the Chevrolet was extensive.
