Donald Hans Munson
Donald Hans Munson, 55, of Golden, passed from this life on Oct. 31, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on Dec. 18, 1959, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Leroy and Virginia (Davison) Munson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy; two uncles, Wayne and Darrell Munson; one infant brother; his maternal grandfather, Glen Davison; and his paternal grandparents, David and Olga Munson.
Survivors include: his wife Susan, of Golden; his mother, Virginia, of Eagle Rock; his grandmother, Mina Hendricks, of Maquoketa, Iowa; two brothers, Ronnie, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Richard and his wife, Roxanna, of Raleigh, N.C.; four step-children, Gene and Susie, of Sequim, Washington, and Tony and Heidi, of Green Forest, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He graduated from Maquoketa High school in 1979. He moved to Kansas City, Denver, Colo., and Forks, Wash., before moving to Golden in 1992. Donald and Susan were united in marriage on March 1, 2000. Together they started Munson Seamless Guttering.
He was an active member of the Eagle Rock Golden Mano Fire Department for many years.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory. A celebration of life will be held Dec. 19 at the ERCA building in Eagle Rock.
