Monett man facing statutory rape charge
24-year-old allegedly knew victim was 14
A Monett man is facing three felony charges for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old girl in Exeter.
According to a probable cause report filed by Barry County Deputy Terry Meek, the victim said she and Dustin Briskey, 24, of Monett, allegedly went to his SUV at a home in Exeter, parked in the driveway and had sexual intercourse.
According to the victim, Briskey knew she was only 14 and told her not to say anything about the sexual contact.
Briskey is charged with second-degree statutory rape, second-degree statutory sodomy and endangering the welfare of a child, all class C felonies. He is being held in the Barry County jail on a $30,000 bond.
