Norma Jean Cooper
Norma Jean Cooper, 80, of Purdy, passed away Saturday, Oct. 24, 2015, in Cassville Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Nov. 19, 1934, in Barry County, the daughter of Jean Stanley. On April 22, 1952, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Glen E. Cooper, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Raymond Cooper and his wife, Diane, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a half-brother, Dale Harrel and his wife, Nina, of Rocky Comfort; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her mother and an aunt and uncle that raised her, Hazel and Raymond Poe.
She received her education in Ridgley and attended Wheaton High School. She was a life-long resident of Barry County and was employed several years as the deli manager for Consumers in Monett. She was a member of Ridgley Assembly of God Church.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Lee and Elaine Tripp conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery.
