Golden man arrested, faces felony drug charges


A Golden man was arrested Monday after 30 marijuana plants, methamphetamine and a rifle were located in his home.

According to the Barry County Sheriff's Office, charges of possession with the intent to deliver and manufacturing are pending against Jeffrey Hynes, 55, of Golden.

The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team conducted an investigation on Monday at 24121 Bell Jon Acres Lane in Golden.

The investigation led to the arrest of Hynes, as law enforcement seized approximately 30 marijuana plants, 8.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a 22-caliber rifle from the home.

Hynes is being held in the Barry County jail on a $30,000 bond.
