Providers reach out to residents at Cancer Expo

The event, which offered visitors information and resources, featured several vendors including health care providers and oncology specialists and was the first of its kind held at Mercy in Cassville. Connie Banks, of Wheaton, stopped by to collect information and resources about cancer from Ozark Area Community Action Corporation employees at the Cancer Expo Center Friday at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Banks said she came so she could get some general information about cancer. The event featured several health care providers and oncology specialists, was the first of its kind held at Mercy in Cassville, and had a great turnout. Julia Kilmer reporter@cassville-democrat.com
Locals peruse information about cancer from various health care providers at the Cancer Expo event Friday at Mercy Hospital in Cassville. The event was the first of its kind held in Cassville and offered information and resources on items like prevention and treatment to individuals and families who have been affected by cancer, or to anyone who just wanted to be educated about the disease, which has reached near-epidemic proportions in American society.
