Cassville men injured in Hwy. 37 wreck

Vehicle ran off roadway to avoid wrong-way driver

Two Cassville men suffered injuries in a wreck Thursday at 7:58 a.m. on Highway 37, half a mile south of Butterfield.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, William Barber, 31, of Cassville, was driving a 2013 Ford F150 northbound when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway to avoid a wrong-way driver.

Barber and a passenger, Justant Truman, 38, of Cassville, each suffered minor injuries and were both transported by private vehicle to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

Neither were wearing safety devices, and the vehicle suffered moderate damage.
