2 injured in single-vehicle wreck on Hwy. 76
18-year-old arrested following incident
Two Shell Knob residents suffered injuries Sunday in a wreck at 11.:45 a.m. on Highway 76, 3.5 miles north of Shell Knob.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Harley Harris, 18, of Shell Knob, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima westbound on Highway 76 when his vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
Harris suffered minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. A passenger, Terry Martin, 35, of Shell Knob, suffered moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
Harris was wearing a safety device, and Martin was not. The vehicle suffered extensive damage.
At 1:24 p.m., Harris was arrested by the Highway Patrol for driving while intoxicated (drugs), failure to maintain a single lane, no driver's license and no insurance.
