Janice L. Murphy
Janice L. Murphy, 61, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015. She was born on Dec. 21, 1953, daughter of Mack and Hazel (Harris) Sparks, in Maywood, Calif. She was a 1972 graduate of Pierce City High School, and received her teaching degree at Missouri State University. She taught for 27 years at the Southwest R-5 School District. On Feb. 18, 1995, she was united in marriage to Richard Murphy in Monett, and he survives. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville, and was active in the Royal Family Kids Camp.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Joshua Henson, of Monett, and Matt Henson, of Cassville; one daughter, Annitra Henson, of Monett; her parents, Mack and Hazel Sparks, of Sedalia; five grandchildren; and one brother, Randy Sparks, of Sedalia.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Family Kids Camp and entrusted to the White Funeral Home P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, in Cassville.
A visitation honoring Janice's life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville.
