Friends of the Library President Vera Ray of Cassville organizes bingo prizes Thursday night during bingo at the Cassville Branch Library. Bingo may have closed at the American Legion, but it is available at the library the first Thursday of the month, where it has been held for last three years. The game is open to the public, family-oriented and a variety of fun prizes can be won. Participants Randy and Linda Petty of Washburn won the grand prize of a backpack filled with school supplies, which they planned to give to their grandchildren. Geraldine Pendergraft won a baby gift set, and Lisa Petty won a Last Supper clock. Julia Kilmer reporter@cassville-democrat.com

While participants play bingo at the Cassville Branch Library, Ernest Ray keeps watch over his grandson, Elijah Miller, who was more entertained with his skill at rolling off his blanket. The son of Amanda and Justin Miller of Purdy, Elijah turned a year old this summer. Julia Kilmer reporter@cassville-democrat.com
